Water distribution and wastewater networks are complex systems composed of a range of interacting elements, including pipes, pumps, tanks reservoirs and valves. Optimatics' optimization software utilizes the modeling software EPANET and SWMM to simulate many of these systems for each network scenario and compares them in the optimization process.
