SENIOR OPTIMISATION ENGINEER

    Optimatics is looking for a highly motivated water/wastewater engineer to join our Strategic Support Team. As part of the Strategic Support Team, you will support existing and new clients’ use of the Optimizer™ software to help optimise planning decisions within water infrastructure networks. Candidates should have strong backgrounds in hydraulic modelling and an ability to work closely with clients to help train and deliver successful hydraulic optimisation analyses.

      Technical:

      • Understanding of and experience working with water utility networks, both collection and distribution

      • Distribution/transmission system modelling experience (e.g., EPANET, WaterGEMS, InfoWorks WS Pro)

      • Collection system H&H modelling experience (e.g., EPASWMM, InfoWorks ICM, MIKE 1D)

      • Proficient in GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS and/or QGIS)

      Non-Technical:

      • Excellent communication skills
      • Project management experience
      • Ability to manage customer experience and relationships
      • Strong presentation and teaching abilities
      • Business skills in preparing and presenting business cases, communicating value to customers, and dealing with business process change

        BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (US, AUS, or Middle East)

          This role is for an experienced business development/sales professional in the water and wastewater industry, accountable for the development and expansion of sales activities and client relationships in the Australian market. The Business Development Manager is critical in the achievement of revenue, gross margin, and sales targets as mutually agreed and established by the business. Candidates are required to develop and maintain favorable relationships with new customers to increase revenue and year-over-year growth. This includes the achievement of strategic sales objectives for a specific region or territory as defined by the business. Ideal candidates would require very little supervision, using sound judgement based on sales and business acumen and experience.

          • Experience (years and type):

            • Requires minimum 5+ years of experience in software field sales or related business development activities.
              • Field selling experience in the water industry andor public sector software market.
                • Significant experience with large volume sales, preferably selling a software application/solution or comparable advanced technology product/service.
                  • Customer Service or support experience a plus.
                    • Field sales experience with new business expertise. Must have a hunter mentality.

                            You’ll be working on our flagship product. This is a fat desktop client built on the very latest C#.NET, C++, and WPF technologies. It integrates ESRI GIS components, DevExpress WPF components, and interacts with our own cloud infrastructure that is hosted on AWS.
