Optimatics, recognized as the industry leader in advanced optimization technology, continues to have high demand for its award-winning product, OptimizerTM. Organizations who are currently utilizing the software for the first time, as well as those who have renewed their annual subscriptions based on the value that they have already received, include:
Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, Illinois – In association with GeoSyntec, the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago has purchased Optimizer to identify a wide range of 8th Ward improvement options (both grey and green infrastructure) in an intelligent search for low-cost solutions.
SA Water, Adelaide, Australia – SA Water has renewed its annual subscription to continue to utilize Optimizer for its long and short term operational planning. Optimizer played a vital role in SA Water’s Adelaide Metropolitan Water Distribution Network project, recognized at the Global Water Summit as the 2015 Water Performance Initiative of the Year.
City of Christchurch, New Zealand – In a continued effort to pursue innovative solutions to maximise future investments associated with ‘business as usual’ planning following the 2010/11 earthquakes, the City of Christchurch recently used the Optimizer software in its evaluation of upgrades to the sewer network. The software has been applied to a challenging area of the network where numerous potential solutions had been identified, pointing to the need for optimization. Optimatics’ partner, WCS Engineering, worked with Christchurch City Council staff to deliver this project. Having seen the benefits of the comprehensive options analysis that the software facilitates, Christchurch plans to continue to use Optimizer as part of their full system-wide analysis.
Logan City Council, Queensland, Australia – Logan City Council has recently applied Optimizer to an area of their sewer network to evaluate conveyance, storage, renewals and I/I removal options with the goal of minimizing cost and reducing overflow frequency. The project team, which included Logan Water Alliance and optimization specialists WCS Engineering, demonstrated the potential for significant cost savings and improved system performance using Optimizer compared to using traditional analysis methods.
