Before joining Optimatics as a Key Account Manager, Ryan was a dedicated civil engineer with 6 years of experience consulting for local government in New Zealand and water utility companies in the UK. His expertise lies in hydraulic modelling and civil engineering, with a particular focus on catchment modelling, CSO (Combined Sewer Overflow) spill reduction, and cross-country pipeline design.

Ryan holds a Master of Science in Geography and Hydrology, which forms the foundation of his technical approach to water management and infrastructure development. As a Lead Design Engineer in consultancy, Ryan has successfully led complex infrastructure projects, including hydraulic model builds and verifications and wastewater inflow reduction schemes, blending technical precision with innovative solutions.

Beyond technical delivery, Ryan excels in project management and client relations, working with consultants worldwide to guide projects from concept to completion. He is passionate about delivering sustainable, effective water management solutions while fostering strong, transparent relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
